Project overview
To showcase the heart, community, and impact of Focus Surrey, I voluntarily directed and produced an official promotional short documentary for the charity. The film offers an inside look at its mission through real stories, parent testimonials and children thriving together.
Case study
Challenge
Focus Surrey supports children with autism through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), but prospective families and the wider public often lacked a clear, human understanding of how ABA works in a warm, real-world setting and of the support community built around parents.
Approach
The film captures the atmosphere of the space, children learning through play, dedicated volunteers and the emotional reality of raising a child with autism. Interviews with founder Susan Archdall, long-term volunteers and parents present the charity as both a service and a compassionate community.
Outcome
Focus Surrey officially adopted the documentary for its website. It now helps the charity raise awareness, build trust with new families and demonstrate its impact to prospective volunteers and supporters.
