The only cinema in Fasa, Iran, had been closed for 40 years. Through rare access to the untouched building, the project documented its atmosphere through photography and film.

For over four decades Fasa had no cinema, and residents needed to travel approximately four hours to a larger city to watch a film.
Approach
The team revisited the forgotten building and documented its once-vibrant past, aiming to renew local demand and encourage officials to consider a new cinema for the city.
Outcome
After the documentary was produced and shared, Fasa saw the return of a cinema after more than four decades.
